This mini change jar was made by both Melissa and myself and it took over an hour to complete. The change is made from paper and it's completely removable and can be placed anywhere else around a scene. We love the over-sized jar, only we wish ours in real life was this full.
Cookies, cookies, on a tray, on a tray, on a tray, cookies, cookies, on a tray, My Fair Lady! OK, so I made these while watching My Fair Lady. Punched out about 1,000 cookies, I'd say and then I've decorated about 300 of them. Whew! It's a good time-consumer but really you've got to have something else to think about while doing it or you'll go insane.
I've been punching out cookies like mad ever since Betsy Niederer posted the secret to making cookies so perfectly on CDHM's forums. I am so glad she did! Mary Jo lent me a bunch of punches but one of them was too large to be a normal cookie. It had to be a big cookie. A flur de lis cookie. What could I do with it? I stared at it repeatedly and never found the answer, and then it struck me. BIRDS! I made four little birds and have put these two at auction this week on eBay. I hope they are enjoyed!
